Ben is the current owner of Australian Irrigation Investments (AII), a family business with investments across agricultural services, renewable energy and off grid power sectors. Prior to establishing AII, Ben spent 15 years working in finance originally training with Deloitte in Australia and Ireland before moving to London where he spent 6 years working in Leveraged Finance and Restructuring for IKB Deutcshe Industriebank and Barclays Capital.
During his time in London, Ben spent a year studying at London Business School where he obtained a Master in Finance degree. Upon returning to Australia in 2013, he joined Macquarie’s Infrastructure and Real Assets team where he was a senior member of the Agriculture Investments group managing a portfolio of over $1billion in assets and spending 6 months as interim CFO of Paraway Pastoral company, a Macquarie owned pastoral company with 17 stations and $800m in assets across Australia
Brett is an Adelaide based professional specialising in the power industry and has in excess of 22 years' experience in multi-facetted power station design, construction and operations. He has provided services to clients in Commercial buildings, Mining, Oil and Gas delivering cost effective, reliable, off grid and parallel to mains power supplies. His power solutions have utilised different energy sources including combinations of gas, solar, diesel and batteries. His clients have included BHP, Rio Tinto, Arrium, Santos, FMR, Beach Energy and Senex.
He was the co-owner and Technical/Sales Director of Power Water Air. Other roles have included Sales Manager at Mecc Alte Alternators and Cabel rewinds and the Regional sales a manger for Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania for MTU Detroit. Brett was involved in winning a NECA Award for design, installation and commissioning of the Devine Ripe Parallel to mains natural gas and diesel power plant at Two Wells.
Aaron is an Adelaide based Project Professional, most recently working as a Project consultant with clients such as BHP, Aecom and Flagstaff Park Industrial Precinct.
He has 35 years’ experience in the heavy construction industry in the areas of power generation, oil and gas, mining and minerals processing. His project portfolio includes Loy Yang ‘A’ and ‘B’ Power Stations, BHP NZ Steel’s Cogeneration Plant, the Olympic Dam Expansion and subsequent brownfield capital works, BHP’s Ravensthorpe Nickel Mine and Process Plant, BHP’s Macedon Gas Plant, Woodside’s LNG Plant, Chevron’s Gorgon and Wheatstone LNG Plants and FMG’s iron ore developments.
He has held lead roles in delivery of studies for FAST JV, BHP, FMG and Iron Road providing constructability input, the development of class leading module programs and providing innovative solutions for mining and minerals processing. His Projects have also included significant infrastructure works including road construction, rail works, airport construction, port works (including wharves), stock yards and ship loading systems, water and waste water, power supplies and major accommodation installations.
